Powerlink Queensland is a Queensland Government-owned corporation responsible for developing, operating, and maintaining the state's high-voltage electricity transmission network. Covering 1,700 km from Cairns to the NSW border, it transports electricity at high voltages to over five million people and 253,000 businesses, acting as a crucial link in the National Electricity Market.
Powerlink Queensland commissioned Ashwater Films to play a crucial role in the Copperstring 2032 Project, Queenslands largest current infrastructure project. Powerlink engaged Ashwater Films to work alongside nine Traditional Owner Groups and develop and produce a suite of high end Cultural Heritage Induction videos that captured an intimate and personal connection to country that was accessible for contractors who were working on country.
The concept was to create authentic and emotive pieces that would help the audience connect with the TO’s perspectives and provide an elevated and engaging perspective compared to typical, e- learning type content.
They were designed to include compliance elements, interwoven into the stories. This version is the clean cultural heritage version provided to the Wanamara people.
