Ready Mob is an Indigenous organisation that provides health services to the Indigenous community with a focus on smoking cessation.
Tyson from READY MOB approached Ashwater Films in the early stage of his project which was a campaign to help the Indigenous community in his region to quit smoking and make positive financial decisions. Tyson had the slogan “Feed the mob, not the habit” but wasn’t sure how to translate this visually or create the story to bring the message to life. Tyson engaged us to present concepts for a 30 second Television Commercial and manage it from start to finish.
Tyson really wanted his staff to feature in the video but given they aren’t professional actors we presented a concept which used voice over, as well as appearances from staff, so the overall effect would still be friendly, community-focused and professional.
Once we started, we took the lead on the whole process, involving Tyson in every decision but making sure that we were ultimately responsible for the logistics. The shoot was fun, the staff had fun and the message came across.
The final video needed to be signed off by the READY MOB Board of Directors and they were amazed at how well it turned out. The delivery for broadcast was managed by us, and the project went to air on time – and on budget.
