Wild Pacific Media aims to engage audiences with the natural world and encourages stewardship of our planet through natural history storytelling. Their award-winning team have worked together on landmark documentary series, IMAX films and feature documentaries for over a decade. Wild Pacific Media has become one of Australia’s premier producers of giant screen films.
Wild Pacific Media was commissioned by the ABC and ARTE France to produce a high end blue chip natural history Series that follows the flow of water across the Australian continent to uncover the incredible connections that link all creatures on earth: from ants to eagles to us.
Ash was engaged in this project from the early stages as a researcher and following commission filled the roles of Associate Producer and Cinematographer during production. The series used incredible camera technology including the car mounted Gyro Stabilized System as well as the Phantom Flex 4k, allowing for some of the finest wildlife cinematography to come out of the country.
Ashwater Films provided the breathtaking and heart stopping cave diving cinematography following Ash and a specialist crew coordinating the extremely remote and logistically challenging shoot in Weebubby Cave, Western Australia. The logistics weren’t possible without the support of cave diving specialist, Tim Featonby.
